Strömma Agricultural Center is looking for an animal caretaker/instructor for our dairy farm and sheep flock.

We are looking for someone who is:

• open, positive, and communicative

• interested in teaching and educating students.

The position includes instructing and mentoring students during their education, as well as leading certain educational sessions with groups of students. The work primarily involves working with dairy cows, young stock, and sheep. There are also other tasks related to agriculture or school. Scheduled evening and weekend work is included.

Strömma is a historic school located in a picturesque environment just outside Sätila between Gothenburg and Borås. Strömma Agricultural Center AB conducts agricultural education at the high school level and is owned by the Hushållningssällskapet Sjuhärad with foundations. The Hushållningssällskapet has existed for over 200 years and is a non-profit organization that works for knowledge development in rural areas.

Most of our students live in our boarding school during the week. Currently, we have 185 students.

The school farm operates on 280 hectares of arable land and pasture, as well as in the various animal barns, where there is milk production, lamb production, equestrian activities, and small animal activities. The dairy herd consists of 60 dairy cows, primarily milked by a milking robot, plus replacement animals and 50-60 ewes for lamb production. The entire farm's operations are, among other things, conducted with the help of students, under the supervision and assistance of instructors.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability and the ability to work both individually and in a group.
